About Recovery Dharma in the Western Chicago Suburbs

Recovery Dharma is a peer-led, non-theistic, Buddhist-inspired recovery community supporting people healing from addictions of all kinds. Our approach is grounded in meditation, mindfulness, and compassion, offering practical tools for meeting craving, suffering, and difficult emotions with greater awareness and care. We do not promote any religious beliefs, and there is no requirement to identify as Buddhist to participate.

Our Western Suburbs (Chicago) chapter serves individuals in Aurora, Naperville, and surrounding communities. We offer in-person meetings locally, along with connections to online and hybrid meetings available worldwide. Meetings typically include guided meditation, a reading from Recovery Dharma materials, and time for inquiry and sharing in a supportive, non-judgmental space.

Recovery Dharma is open to anyone seeking recovery from addictive behaviors, substance use, or compulsive patterns of any kind. Whether you are new to recovery, returning after time away, or simply looking for a compassionate community to support your path, you are welcome here.
